Dorinda

Dorinda is the founder of Renew Speech Language Pathology, LLC. She is certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed to practice in the state of Maryland. Dorinda has been a medical SLP for over 23 years; specializing in voice disorders, swallowing impairments, and speech/language/cognitive deficits.Dorinda received her Master’s degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and began her career working in hospitals. Dorinda is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) LOUD, Vital Stim and Ampcare Effective Swallowing Protocol neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), and Modified Barium Swallowing Impairment Profile (MBSImP). She is trained in FEES and videostroboscopy as well as Patterned Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation (PENS) and surface electromyography (sEMG.) She received certification in the McNeil Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP) and Phonation Resistance Training Exercises (PhoRTE.) She actively attends continuing education courses to learn up to date, evidence-based evaluation and treatment practices.Dorinda has been a resident of Howard County, Maryland since 1997. She and her husband are busy raising a blended family of 5 kids ranging in ages from 19 – 28 years. Dorinda and her family enjoy spending time together playing games, traveling, and eating lots of popcorn!
